A very well appointed hotel with lovely gardens big enough to take a nice stroll around.  Spacious, light and airy rooms have lake or garden views and spa baths big enough for two.  Your mini bar is stocked with complimentary craft beer and a glass of wine is also offered in the lounge between 5 and 6.  Tea/coffee and cakes are also provided in the lounge if you feel a bit peckish.

Highlights:
Great breakfasts, including a temptingly wide selection of beautifully prepared seasonal fruits and on the last day, French toast with caramelised banana, strawberries, salted caramel syrup and vanilla cream – heavenly..

The restaurant serves a tasting menu at $145 pp, a fixed price menu at $89 or à la carte for not much more.  The food is of a very high quality and the service is also good.  Wine is available by the glass at similar prices to the UK.
Complimentary drinks and nibbles.

Lowlights:
The hotel is located about a 45 minute drive from Margaret River itself, so if you want to go on a wine tasting expedition, transport is an unwelcome added extra, although very easy to arrange.
Some rooms can only be accessed via a number of stairs, so ask for a ground floor room if this is a problem for you.
The gardens are not very well lit, so bring a torch to help you find your way to the restaurant and back safely!
