A lovely hotel – authentic and full of charm. The Carousel Bar is amazing and the rooftop pool is a great facility. The hotel is situated slap bang in the middle of all the action in The French Quarter, but the rooms are quiet, cool and comfortable – an oasis. First class concierge service. There really is nowhere better to stay in New Orleans.
Must Do
Whether you are staying at the hotel or not – don’t miss sampling a cocktail at the famous revolving Carousel bar. Get there early in the evening if you want to sit on one of the pretty chairs.
Tips for Future Travellers
The Monteleone has some rooms without windows, which aren’t great. They are phasing these out though in a refurb. so that is all good.
