Fun in the Fynbos - Christmas in Cape Town
Better weather today meant we could take the 4×4 trip through the fynbos clad slopes of the Grootbos Private Nature Reserve and have some fun in the fynbos. The flowers are at their best in October though – we were really a little bit late.
Christmas in Cape Town
It took 3 and a half hours to get back from Grootboos to Cape Town in the end – much longer than we had anticipated because of heavy traffic. It looked very different from three weeks ago – Christmas had arrived here while we had been on our travels!
I was very glad that we had booked a hotel with good facilities for our last night in South Africa. The Cape Grace has a lovely swimming pool and complimentary hot spa facilities. No more sightseeing – it’s time for a dip …
