Deep South USA - The Big Easy Road Trip
On Friday, we head to New Orleans for the start of a journey to the Big Easy for our Deep South USA Road Trip.
We will walk along the sweeping bends of the Mississippi River, visit the bayous of Louisiana and get familiar with the great cities of Memphis, Nashville and New Orleans. I am looking forward to sampling Cajun food and hearing some great live music in the birthplace of soul, jazz, blues, country and rock and roll.
It was certainly easy to plan this trip as we chose to travel with Audley Travel this time. It is unusual for us to pick a travel agent rather than design the trip ourselves, but their package seemed to offer so many interesting trips and excursions. It certainly saved a lot of planning time – it will be interesting to see how it compares to other trips. So far, I am impressed by the luxurious travel folder we have been sent and the day by day App we have for ‘phone/ipad which tells you all you need to know about each stage of the journey. It’s nearly time to go exploring again – always a great feeling …!
