Marshall Meadows Country House Hotel
Marshall Meadows Country House Hotel in Berwick upon Tweed is well located for a short break to Northumberland. From here, you can explore the pristine, unspoiled coastline both North and South of the hotel with ease.
We were visiting in September 2020 aduring the Covid-19 restrictions. The hotel was doing its very best to keep everyone safe, but it meant that unfortunately, the pretty little dining room was out of action and instead, we had to take our meals at an allocated table in the large function room which inevitably lacked the intimacy of the usual dining room.
The bedroom we were allocated was comfortable enough – but really tiny! If you like a large bed and enjoy your space, you would probably be best to request a larger room and pay a bit of a premium for it.
This is an AA 3 star hotel. The restaurant was reasonable enough with a daily changing menu, but nothing to write about home about.
